How to use Zen Garden Sudoku

How to Use Zen Garden Sudoku

A quick guide to the core features so you can stay in flow while solving.

Start or switch difficulties

Select “New Puzzle” to open the difficulty picker (Easy, Medium, Hard, Killer). Your current difficulty is shown in the top chip.

Enter numbers and notes

Tap a cell, then tap a number in the pad. Toggle “Pencil” to switch to notes mode—perfect for candidates. Turn it off to place final answers.

Undo and erase safely

Use Undo to step back through entries and note changes. Erase clears a cell’s value and notes.

Use hints mindfully

Hint fills one correct cell (if available) and animates it. Great for getting unstuck without revealing too much.

Sound and music

The bell icon toggles sound effects. The music icon cycles through ambient tracks or turns music off entirely; your choice is remembered.

Stay on mobile

On phones, controls live in a sticky bottom bar so the board stays visible. Buttons stay touch-friendly and always accessible.

Progress saving

Your grid, notes, and timer persist locally. Leaving and returning picks up where you left off unless you start a new puzzle.
